Summary

"Making Good for Muley" by W. C. Tuttle is a comedic story set in the American West, which follows the love-struck schemes of Muley Bowles, a cowboy with a poetic soul, as he chases after both romance and riches, all while dealing with tricky family problems and societal expectations. Muley is head-over-heels for Susie Abernathy, whose grumpy uncle, Zeb, believes Susie deserves a much wealthier husband, since Muley is only a simple cowhand. Fate steps in when Muley learns he's inherited a ton of money from a long-lost aunt; however, there's a funny catch: he can't get married for five years or he'll lose it all. This sets off a series of outlandish events involving sheep and eccentric personalities as the story hilariously explores themes of wealth, true love, and the importance of friendship.
