Summary

"All Day Wednesday" by Richard Olin is a science fiction story that focuses on a world stuck repeating the same Wednesday, forcing everyone into endless repetition. Ernie, a regular factory worker, finds his life of work, television, and boredom turned upside down when he learns the whole world shares his fate, engineered by a select few who can escape the loop. Someone, Jory, from this special group tries to show Ernie the truth, but Ernie doesn't want to believe it. Instead, the book inspects Ernie’s deep understanding of his life, causing him to accept the never-ending routine instead of changing his reality. The narrative questions what it means to be human in a society that never changes and highlights ideas about meaning and purpose.
