Summary

"Limbo" by Aldous Huxley is a story that follows Dick Greenow, a bright young man coming of age in the early 1900s. Dick's journey focuses on finding himself while dealing with what the world expects of him. We meet Dick as a boy struggling to understand admiration and annoyance with his sister, Millicent, while focusing on his math skills. He deals with tough emotions, including a yearning for Francis Quarles, whose confidence is striking. Dick's unrequited love sets the stage for his struggles with identity, romantic desire, and the pressures put on him by society as he grows up.
