Summary

"Zeta Exchange: A Terran Empire Story" by Ann Wilson is a science fiction story penned in the early 1990s that takes place in 2669 CE, concerning Ranger James Medart of the Terran Empire after he is called to another universe to help fight the Sandemans. The story is about other universes, magic skills, and fights between stars, questioning the differences between technology and magic. Medart is enjoying a quiet trip on the Empress Lindner when he's suddenly moved to Zeta Prime. Ranger Ariel of Rolian greets him and tells him that Zeta Prime is being attacked by the Sandemans. Medart works with Captain Chavvorth and finds out about his own magic potential. Against all odds, he must work to ally with the Sandemans, who his world considers enemies, to stop the fighting. The book ends with a fight that proves Medart's new powers and changes the relationships between different groups, which changes the future of both empires.
