Summary

"Angel Unawares: A Story of Christmas Eve" by C. N. (Charles Norris) Williamson is a heartwarming tale showing a young American girl named Angel, lost on Christmas Eve in a seemingly magical garden during the tumultuous times of World War I, who teaches everyone about kindness and giving. Overhearing the Valois family, a Belgian couple facing hardship, Angel selflessly gives away her mother's precious diamond ring, hoping to relieve their suffering. Her act of compassion sets off a chain of good deeds, as it leads her mother to share her love with the Valois family which shows the impact of empathy and creates a joyful connection between the two families, underscoring the true meaning of Christmas and the power of childhood innocence in a world touched by war.
