Summary

"Moonbeams from the Larger Lunacy" by Stephen Leacock is a compilation of funny short stories, penned in the early 1900s, that pokes fun at a range of topics, such as the ridiculous parts of society, present-day books, and what it means to be human. Leacock uses wit and funny stories to comment on things happening at the time and to look at human foolishness in an amusing way. The book begins with a funny introduction where Leacock chats about turning magazine articles into a book, leading into the tale of Lancy de Vere, a young Englishman traveling to America under a fake name, who is captivated by a strange girl on the ship and their conversations about America.
