"The Pickwick Papers" by Charles Dickens is a story that follows the kind-hearted Samuel Pickwick, founder of the Pickwick Club, and his friends, Mr. Winkle, Mr. Snodgrass, and Mr. Tupman, as they journey across England, discovering the oddities of society. Starting with Mr. Pickwick at a club meeting, the friends embark on a trip led by Pickwick, where they meet a funny cab driver and end up in a messy fight, which shows the funny and teasing adventures that will happen on their travels. These first parts of the novel set up the friendly relationships between the characters and give a taste of the funny problems they will face as they travel.
