Summary

"My Friend the Murderer" by Arthur Conan Doyle is a compilation of late 19th-century short stories that follows the life of Wolf Tone Maloney, a convicted murderer who avoided capital punishment by betraying his accomplices and turning informant. The collection begins with a doctor working in a prison who is asked to meet Maloney. This encounter leads to conversations that start to reveal Maloney's brazen demeanor and his morally questionable background while his testimony and his crimes against his gang mates unfold. The series explores ethics, culpability, and law within the grim realities that Maloney now faces.
