Summary

"The Clicking of Cuthbert" by P. G. Wodehouse is a funny collection of golf stories from the early 1900s, which centers on Cuthbert Banks as he tries to balance his love for golf with finding love and being seen as respectable. Cuthbert's troubles with golf and his desire to impress a girl named Adeline Smethurst drive the tale, which begins with an awful round of golf; Cuthbert decides to join a local Literary Society to seem smarter to Adeline. The stories playfully show the funny and sometimes strange part of golf and the different types of people involved in the game, mixing sports, romance, and humor to explore life's challenges in a comical way.
