Summary

"A Canadian Heroine, Volume 1" by Mrs. Harry Coghill is a story from the late 1800s that follows a pretty young woman named Lucia Costello and her mom as they live in Canada. The story is about love, finding yourself, and the importance of family, all happening in the beautiful Canadian countryside. At the start, Lucia and her mother are enjoying a peaceful evening at their cottage. Lucia seems sweet and innocent, which makes her mother love her very much. They talk about a picnic, but you can tell Mrs. Costello is worried about something, while Lucia is just excited and carefree. There are hints that things aren't perfect, especially because of Mrs. Costello's past and someone who might come back into their lives, which means there's going to be some drama.
