Summary

"The Angel of His Presence" by Grace Livingston Hill is a story of transformation and renewed purpose, where a sophisticated young man named John Wentworth Stanley returns to America after exploring the world, only to find his past calling him back to a life of faith and service. Having distanced himself from his earlier commitment to the Forest Hill Mission, John’s encounter with the father of Margaret Manning, the devoted teacher from the mission, stirs his conscience and forces him to reconcile the person he is now with the passionate idealist he once was. He finds himself navigating the expectations of his former life, and the stirring calling of his faith. This is a journey filled with introspection, challenges, and the rediscovery of his values, as Stanley is confronted with a new opportunity toward redemption with the power of his presence.
