"Mitch Miller" by Edgar Lee Masters is a story set in the early 1900s about a boy called Skeeter and his remarkable, spirited friend, Mitch Miller. The book tells of their young lives and friendship in Petersburg, filled with fun and experiences only kids can understand. The story begins with Skeeter waking up, slowly remembering his home and town. The turning point happens when Skeeter meets Mitch, who fills him with excitement and adventure offering activities such as watching a fight and searching for lost treasure like in "Tom Sawyer". As their friendship grows the two boys get into all kinds of capers and mischief. The story's tone is a reflection on the good ole' days that makes you feel nostalgic.
