Summary

"Europe Revised" by Irvin S. Cobb is a funny travel story from the early 1900s. It shares the author's funny thoughts as he travels through Europe, starting on a ship. The story is happy and makes fun of the strange parts of American and European cultures. The first part of the book tells about Cobb's trip to Europe and shows how he makes fun of travel. He jokes about how travel books are full of boring facts and tries to make his story fun with his own experiences. When Cobb leaves for Europe, he talks about the craziness on the ship, how excited he is, and how he deals with being seasick, which he calls "climate fever." He also talks about the interesting people he meets, like a quiet English man who walks alone and a happy American couple on their honeymoon, creating a lively international feeling. Readers get pulled into Cobb's funny trip, where laughing and watching are more important than just facts
