Summary

** "The Cosmic Snare" by Stephen Marlowe is a science fiction tale set in the age of instant sub-space travel, where the very fabric of space is a highway to distant stars. At a lonely transfer station, Liddell and his wife, Linda, face terror when a dangerous escaped prisoner, Jason Short, appears. Short takes Linda hostage, forcing Liddell into a desperate gamble. Liddell reroutes their transfer, trapping them all in the featureless, lawless dimension of sub-space, hoping to outwit Short and save Linda. In a gripping showdown, Liddell confronts Short in this strange realm, fighting to return them to normal space and envisioning future possibilities for sub-space journeys. **
