The Days of Mohammed

"The Days of Mohammed" by Anna May Wilson recounts the spiritual journey of Yusuf, a former Guebre priest searching for deeper meaning after becoming disgusted with his religion's sacrificial rituals. Leaving Persia for Arabia and Mecca, he hopes to find truth and a real connection to God. He travels through harsh lands and meets different people, including Mohammed, who is just beginning to emerge as a prophet. Yusuf struggles with his past beliefs, questions about God, and the clashing beliefs he encounters, all while seeking a more truthful and spiritual path.
