Torchy

"Torchy" by Sewell Ford is a funny story set in the busy streets of New York City long ago. The book follows Torchy, a young office boy who is full of energy and dreams of making it big. We see him trying to get a job at the Glory Be Mining Company, where he shows he's different from everyone else and impresses Mr. Pepper. Getting this job is just the start, and the story shows Torchy's funny adventures and the interesting people he meets while working in the city.
