Great Violinists and Pianists

"Great Violinists and Pianists" by George T. Ferris is a journey through the lives of celebrated musicians of the past. The book shines a light on the impact these artists, such as Corelli, Paganini, and Liszt, had on the world of music. Ferris lays out how these violin and piano players made big changes in their areas. Since the book looks at people whose careers were already over, it focuses on their lasting importance. The pages turn back in time to when instruments were getting better and players were becoming masters. Through stories of rising to fame and dealing with tough times, the reader will see how the lives of these amazing people fit into the bigger story of music itself.
