The Mystery of the Iron Box A Ken Holt Mystery

"The Mystery of the Iron Box" by Bruce Campbell is a mid-20th century mystery where young detectives Ken Holt and his pal Sandy Allen investigate a suspicious break-in tied to an ordinary iron box, a family heirloom. Starting with Ken's anticipation for his father, Richard Holt's return from overseas around Christmas, the festive mood takes a turn when he overhears strange sounds and senses intrusions in the house, hinting someone wants to steal the box. Their investigation amps up following a fire at a jewelry store nearby, making them question the box's real worth and what connections it might have with suspicious individuals.
