Uncle Wiggily's Story Book

"Uncle Wiggily's Story Book" by Howard R. Garis is a delightful compilation of tales for young ones from long ago. Within these pages lives Uncle Wiggily Longears, a kind rabbit who finds himself in amusing situations with kids and animal pals. The stories touch on simple but important ideas for kids, like being brave, caring for others, and finding happiness in new experiences. In the book’s opening, Uncle Wiggily speaks right to kids, hoping they'll find joy in his adventures. The first story tells of a boy afraid of the dentist because of a toothache. Uncle Wiggily, being a good friend, pretends he has a toothache, too, encouraging the boy to be brave by showing him he's not alone, setting a cheerful mood for the fun that follows.
