"Willie Mouse" by Alta Tabor is a delightful children's story from the early 1900s. The book shares the tale of a curious mouse named Willie, who bravely sets off to discover if the moon is really made of green cheese. Along his fun and exciting journey, Willie meets kind animal friends who share what they think of Willie's idea. Even though some of them doubt him, Willie doesn't give up. Willie also is brave when he faces challenges along the way but a good elf provides assistance. Eventually, Willie learns that doing the task is important but that reaching his goal will have to wait until he gets older.
