"The Cruise of a Schooner" by Albert W. Harris is an adventure story about a trip from California to Chicago many years ago. It tells about the author's dream trip with Dr. H.W. Lancaster and Robert Lancaster, travelling through tough land with horses and a wagon. The story starts with the author thinking about wanting a pony and his adventure as a kid. As they start out, readers learn about what it's like for them, from packing and unexpected issues along the way, and the beautiful, but rough land they travel through.
