Stories Pictures Tell. Book 4

"Stories Pictures Tell. Book 4" by Flora L. Carpenter is an educational journey through art, designed for young minds and structured by the months of the year. The book uses famous paintings from artists like Jean François Millet and Bartolomé Esteban Murillo to tell tales and teach lessons. Each artwork is paired with a story that explains what’s happening in the picture and is followed by questions intended to guide students in thinking about it; together, the pairings encourage appreciation and respect for the historical moments, cultural references, and everyday struggles captured in these works of art. The aim is to use these paintings and their stories to promote understanding of life throughout history.
