The Pathless Trail

"The Pathless Trail" by Arthur O. Friel is an adventure story set in the Amazon, where three men, Roderick McKay, Meredith Knowlton, and Timothy Ryan, journey into the heart of the jungle to find a missing man, David Dawson Rand, last heard from five years prior. Their journey from the small village, Remate de Males, to the depths of the unknown introduces them to both the wonders and peril of a dangerous environment. The locals, with their guarded knowledge, hint at the complex nature of their quest. They gradually learn of a testement tying the missing man to a large fortune if he is located alive, leading them ever deeper into the wilderness. Amidst the strange happenings, the men find themselves walking a fine line of loyalty as they venture into paths unknown.
