"Thirty Years in Hell" or "From Darkness to Light" by Bernard Fresenborg is a scathing autobiography from the early 1900s of a former Catholic priest who switched to Protestantism. The author attacks the Catholic Church for being full of lies and mean people. He talks about his past and how he became a priest because of his background, what it was like being a priest, and the problems he saw with the Catholic Church, especially the bad actions of its leaders.
