The Eustace Diamonds

"The Eustace Diamonds" by Anthony Trollope is a story set in the late 1800s about Lizzie Greystock, a young woman who becomes a widow and suddenly finds herself in possession of a very expensive diamond necklace. She had married Sir Florian Eustace who was rich but not healthy. Now, as a widow, she wants to climb the social ladder.
