Summary

"Baum's Complete Stamp Dealers Directory" by L. Frank Baum is a detailed historical guide from the 1870s, when stamp collecting was becoming really popular in America. The book works like a guidebook, and gives a big list of stamp sellers in the United States and some in Europe with information about magazines and journals about stamps. It's created as a useful thing for both stamp collectors and sellers to find their way through the world of postage stamps. The book has addresses and contact info for stamp dealers and sorts them by how trustworthy they are and what stamps they sell. The directory lets readers learn journals and magazines about stamp collecting. This careful collection of information shows Baum's goal to make something useful for people interested in collecting and trading stamps back then.
