Bunzo Farewell

"Bunzo Farewell" by Charles V. De Vet is a science fiction story where Sammy Tang, a determined manhunter, is tracking the criminal Bill Lutscher across the galaxy, ending up on a strange, new world. Through his journey, the story looks at what it means to be who you are and what drives you as Tang moves through a world of weird creatures while trying to understand its complex relationships. The story gets exciting when Tang finds Lutscher among the odd life forms: armored insect-like mahutes and their doughy companions, the clobers. But when Lutscher meets a terrible end, the dark secret of the planet is revealed: the clobers are just hosts for ankite larvae.
