The Forest King Wild Hunter of the Adaca

"The Forest King" by Hervey Keyes is a historical fiction set in the 17th century, following the life of Mayall, a fearless young hunter in the Mohawk Valley. He's a natural leader, trying to find his way through difficulties. He has a love named Nelly Gordon and is ready to dive into challenges of war and love. We meet this noble-hearted man as he enjoys his peaceful existence, which is made better by the Valley's lush forest as well as being betrothed to the beautiful Nelly Gordon. However, there is growing tension, for Nelly's parents disapprove of Mayall due to his humble stature and are pushing her towards a wealthier marriage, despite her true feelings. When the valley is threatened by Native American warriors, Mayall shows his courage by safeguarding Nelly and her kin, which forced them to flee into the wild. This sets up a journey filled with excitement, love struggles, family loyalty, and the hardships of living on the edge of settled lands.
