Jack Harvey's Adventures; or, The Rival Campers Among the Oyster Pirates

** "Jack Harvey's Adventures; or, The Rival Campers Among the Oyster Pirates" by Ruel Perley Smith is an early 20th-century action story about a boy named Jack Harvey, whose summer takes a turn for the unexpected when his parents go to Europe and he stays behind. Instead of a quiet vacation, Jack finds himself in a whirlwind of excitement on the Baltimore coast, where a chance meeting with a shady character named Artie Jenkins sucks him into a risky situation. After some heroism, Jack's trust is misplaced, finding himself as a member of a ship and sailing into peril involving oyster pirates, backstabbing, and thrills he never imagined. **
