It tells the tale of Kull, a king who's tired of his life and wants to understand what's real. He goes to see the mysterious wizard Tuzun Thune, looking for answers. The story asks what's real and what's not, using magical mirrors that show more than just what you look like. Kull gets lost in these mirrors, starting to doubt everything, including himself. His friend Brule saves him from the wizard's magic, but Kull is still left thinking about what he saw and whether there are hidden worlds out there.
