Summary

"The Great Red Frog" by Sidney Ransom is an early 1900s children's story about a young ruler turned into a frog because of a jealous Chamberlain’s son. It's a magical adventure filled with courage and explores what it truly means to be a good leader. After a tumble into a magic bush, the Prince finds himself as a big, red frog, while the Chamberlain's son takes his place on the throne. As the fake king becomes cruel, a brave young Dwarf named Omolo sets out to rescue a kidnapped Princess and find the real frog-king. With the help of a smart Owl and a Magic Sword, Omolo faces the frog-ruler, who, when hurt, turns back into the rightful King. The story ends with joy as the King gets back his crown, weds the Princess, and makes sure the bad guys get what they deserve, making everyone happy.
