Summary

"Feline Red" by Robert Sampson is a science fiction tale set on the spaceship "Bertha," where unsettling cat-like aliens throw everything into disorder. First Mate Scott Jerill finds himself in deep trouble after these uranium-eating aliens sneak onto the ship, setting off a desperate fight for survival. As the creatures cause trouble in the engine room, the "Bertha's" mission to mine a valuable ore deposit is put in danger, pitting them against the nasty corporation Inner-Planet Metals and its ship, the "Kastil." Scott races against the clock, facing cunning mercenaries and the strange space creatures, using his wits to turn the greed of his enemies against them and protect the "Bertha's" claim in a high-stakes contest for survival and riches.
