Summary

"The Saddle Boys in the Grand Canyon; or, The Hermit of the Cave" by Captain James Carson is an action-packed adventure that tells the tale of young Frank Haywood and Bob Archer, two spirited boys journeying to the majestic Grand Canyon with bravery and determination in their hearts. They bravely set out with twin goals: to stop a vicious she-wolf named Sallie, who is terrorizing local ranchers' livestock, and to seek out Frank's missing Uncle Felix, navigating the rough terrain and untamed wilderness filled with treacherous obstacles. Working along side Hank Coombs, an experienced cowman, the two boys leave home behind. From their initial pursuit of the wolf's den, the boys display courage and resilience as they venture into the unknown, where they are eager to face challenges and demonstrate their heroic nature in this early 20th-century tale of friendship, exploration, and bravery.
