Summary

"The Myth of the Jewish Menace in World Affairs" by Lucien Wolf is a historical examination of baseless accusations leveled against Jewish people. The book centers on the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion," a fabricated document used to fuel anti-Semitism. Wolf carefully investigates how these false narratives, amplified by media outlets, unfairly blamed Jewish people for societal problems and linked them to revolutionary movements. By presenting historical facts and arguments, the author attempts to show these conspiracy theories are not only untrue but also dangerous, encouraging hatred and violence. The author argues that portraying Jewish people as a united group secretly controlling the world ignores the reality of their diverse opinions and backgrounds, countering accusations of global conspiracy with historical context.

About the Author

Lucien Wolf was an English Jewish journalist, diplomat, historian, and advocate of rights for Jews and other minorities. While Wolf was devoted to minority rights, he opposed Jewish nationalism as expressed in Zionism, which he regarded an incentive to anti-Semitism. In 1917 he co-founded the anti-Zionist League of British Jews.
