"Grey Roses" by Henry Harland is a story set in the Latin Quarter of Paris, about Nina Childe, the daughter of a bohemian artist, as she grows through life and love. The story begins with a man waking up in Paris, and he remembers staying at Nina's home. He thinks about Nina's father, Alfred Childe, who was known by many for being artistic.
