Full-Back Foster

"Full-Back Foster" by Ralph Henry Barbour, a novel set in the early 1900's, follows Myron Warrenton Foster as he begins his journey at Parkinson School, a well-known boarding institution for boys. The story opens with Myron's arrival, where his expectations quickly clash reality when he is assigned an unexpected roommate, Joe Dobbins, whose rough attitude is very different than his.
