Summary

"The Fasting Cure" by Upton Sinclair is a health book from the early 1900s where the author talks about fasting as a way to get healthy. Sinclair writes about his own experiences and what he saw happen to others when they fasted. His goal is to show how good fasting can be and question what doctors usually say about health. At the start, Sinclair explains why he wanted to write about fasting, mentioning his own health problems and the research he did on different treatments. He's eager to share what he's learned about fasting, noting that many people are interested and have shared stories about their experiences with it. Sinclair also talks about his personal journey to discovering that fasting can heal, recalling his past illnesses and how he tried long periods of fasting, which led to him feeling much better
