Summary

"Wastralls: A Novel" by C. A. Dawson Scott is a story of a woman named Sabina Rosevear, living in Cornwall in the early 1900s. After her father dies, Sabina finds herself in charge of the family farm, Wastralls, where she faces many challenges. The book explores how women were treated back then and the challenges they had to overcome, especially in families. Sabina, now a wife, finds it difficult to follow traditions while married to Leadville Byron, who is troubled by her new disability. The novel shows the difficulties in their marriage and Sabina's resolve to control her destiny in a world run by men.
