Summary

** "Grace Harlowe's Overland Riders at Circle O Ranch" by Josephine Chase is an exciting story from the early 1900s. It tells of Grace Harlowe and her friends, called the Overland Riders, who go on a fun trip to the Coso Valley in Southern California during the summer, where they meet interesting people and face tricky situations. The story is both funny and adventurous, highlighting the strong friendships and cleverness of Grace and her crew. Right from the start, the book shows the Overland Riders getting ready for a summer full of riding and figuring things out as they arrive in the Coso Valley. Readers meet funny characters like Stacy Brown, who always seems to be daydreaming, and Grace Harlowe, who is an enthusiastic leader. Things get a little tense when two strange guides, Jim and Sam, show up, who are very bad at their jobs, but also very funny. To sum this up, trouble starts when a mysterious person on horseback begins to track them, hinting at future problems waiting for them in the wild, unknown land. **
