Summary

"The Great Mogul" by Louis Tracy is a historical fiction set in the late 1500s, which follows the challenging journey of Mirza Ali Beg, a Persian exile, and his family. Their story is about trying to survive as they travel through Afghanistan, desperately seeking safety under the rule of the Great Mogul. They face difficult choices, like when they almost had to abandon their newborn daughter to ensure the survival of the rest of the family, but fate intervenes. The story demonstrates their will to survive and make sacrifices, and the unexpected meetings that change their lives forever, especially those concerning their baby daughter and her important destiny. Despair turns to hope when it seems their luck shifts after meeting a caravan that takes them on a journey to safety.
