Summary

"Born Again" by Alfred W. Lawson is a thought-provoking story about a man named John Convert and his quest to understand life's biggest questions through travel and personal reflection. The story starts with a dedication to a generous beggar, hinting at the book's focus on morality and helping others. John shares tales about how he grew up. He discusses his childhood with his father. His early life was filled with moving from place to place and working different jobs. These experiences helped him become strong and see the problems people face. As John travels the world, he thinks deeply about right and wrong. He has interesting experiences. He even meets an amazing woman named Arletta. He starts to think about telepathy and a very fair set of rules called "Natural Law." The author uses John's journey to criticize selfish behavior and imagine a world where people are more united and kind to each other.
