Summary

"The Coxswain's Bride" by R.M. Ballantyne is a captivating tale set in the 19th century, centered around Sturdy Bob Massey, the determined coxswain of the Greyton lifeboat. As Bob anticipates his marriage to Nellie, a local fisher-girl, the quiet anticipation is shattered by the ominous threat of an approaching storm that will call him to action. This sets in motion a series of maritime adventures fraught with danger, testing not only Bob's courage and skill, but also the bonds of love and loyalty that tie him to both Nellie and his crew and their adventures rescuing those at peril on the raging sea.
