Ralph in the Switch Tower; Or, Clearing the Track

"Ralph in the Switch Tower; Or, Clearing the Track" by Allen Chapman is a story centered around Ralph Fairbanks, a youthful and ambitious railroader. As Ralph steps into his role at the switch tower, he finds himself responsible for the safe routing of trains, a task made much more complex by the re-emergence of his old enemy, Mort Bemis, and other dangers, like a tiger escaping from a circus! This story blends themes of obligation, betrayal, and excitement in the dangerous world of railroading, where Ralph must quickly learn the ropes of his new job while trying to stay a step ahead of those who wish him harm.
