Summary

"Athalie" by Robert W. Chambers is a story about a special girl who is different from the other people in her life. Athalie Greensleeve is born into a normal family, but she seems to have a special sense, maybe even the power to see things others can't, which makes her stand out. As she gets older, the story shows how she sees the world, which is filled with beauty but also the trouble of not fitting in; her family notices she is different, and she has to figure out her gifts while dealing with regular family stuff in the world around her.
