Summary

"Bat Wing" by Sax Rohmer is a suspenseful crime story set in London, where detective Paul Harley finds himself drawn into a web of mystery. His ordinary day is thrown into chaos by the arrival of Colonel Juan Menendez, a Spaniard gripped by fear and superstition. Haunted by ominous incidents and convinced he's being watched, the Colonel seeks Harley's protection against what he believes are supernatural forces connected to his past in Cuba and tied to Voodoo. He presents the detective with a bat wing, a disturbing sign of the dark forces pursuing him leaving Harley to confront a case where the exotic collides with the familiar against a backdrop of mounting danger.
