The Wrong Woman

"The Wrong Woman" by Charles D. Stewart is a story set in the early 1900s about a determined young woman named Janet's journey through the Texas prairie, which quickly turns into an exciting and unpredictable adventure; with a runaway horse and the chance meeting of a cowboy named Steve Brown. The story begins with Janet planning her trip, showing her strong will and independence; however, when Janet struggles with losing her horse and becoming lost, we learn of her innermost thoughts of fear, as the audience also learns of Steve Brown, who begins to grow closer to Janet as the novel continues, showing the promise of a closer bond between the two on the rough Texas prairie.
