Working at McNess Union Service Station, he spends his time thinking about racing while navigating the developing feelings he has for two girls—one is his car, and the other, Mary Jane, wants his attention off the track. With the help of colorful characters such as his boss, Worm, Woody grows and learns, setting the scene for a wild ride filled with the challenges of youth, the rivalry on the race track, and the trials and tribulations of relationships.
