Summary

"The Son of Monte-Cristo, Volume II" by Jules Lermina is a continuation of a classic tale about Spero, the son of the Count, facing destiny amidst treachery. Spero travels with a troop including Fanfaro and the giant Girdel, they roam into the Black Forest setting up for drama. Fanfaro tells of daring stories adding to the suspense as life in the circus creates a mix of friendship and clashing personalities within the group. Fanfaro's quest for aid for Girdel takes him through dangerous roads where he finds the marquis of Fougereuse and with it encounters secrets and strain to the group.
