Summary

"Ticonderoga: A Story of Early Frontier Life in the Mohawk Valley" by G. P. R. James is a tale of a family's resilience as they carve out a life on the American frontier. The saga of Mr. Prevost, a man yearning for traces of civilization, introduces his children, Edith and Walter, struggling in the early days of America in the Mohawk Valley. In their modest home, the family embraces visitors and struggles with the dangers that surround them. As a handsome stranger appears to them, this act sets in motion a series of events that change the family forever. The story then lays the groundwork for conflicts, where relationships are tested due to potential threats from Native American tribes.
