Summary

"A Night Out" by Edward Peple is a comical story about a fancy Persian cat named Omar Ben Sufi who yearns for more than his pampered life. Tired of luxury, Omar embarks on an unexpected adventure when he meets Ringtail Pete, a scrappy street cat. This encounter leads Omar into the unknown world beyond his garden, where he experiences both the thrill of the hunt and the rough reality of street life, all while trying to avoid the wrath of Ash-Can Sam. Through a series of amusing escapades, the narrative playfully touches on the differences between social classes and explores the growth from a sheltered cat that discovers independence and excitement in the most unexpected places.
